Digital signage widgets

I’ve been using the brilliant Yodeck at work and at home for digital signage. The system runs on a Raspberry Pi, either self-assembled or purchased directly from them. They allow you to have one player for free.

Here’s a collection of widgets and sources that I have been using for the displays:

Web pages

Social media

Standalone widgets

  • World clock showing the time and weather for each of our offices. The background for each clock changes with the time of day but will not update until the widget is redrawn on screen, e.g. as part of a playlist. You can fork this on codepen.io and choose your own cities and timezones.
