📺 Interview with Sophie Wilson

I enjoyed this interview with Sophie Wilson, co-inventor of the ARM processor architecture. I hadn’t realised just how important the BBC Micro had been in creating the design. The story of Wilson and her colleagues being motivated by seeing how small the team was when they visited Western Design Center reminded me of the tale of Steve Jobs visiting Xerox PARC and seeing a graphical user interface and mouse for the first time, even if the latter may not be completely true.
