Found this great site today – it looks at tags that have been given to recently-posted public photos in Flickr and attempts to ascertain where they were taken. You get to see lots of them spread over a map of the US. I’d love to see a UK version!

Wired had an article on something like this recently – imagine if all of your photos were tagged by your digital camera when you took them so that it knew not only when the photo was taken but exactly where as well, using GPS or its equivalent? That would be one way to organise them – something that would be even more valuable when you upload them to the web along with everyone else. It would be the equivalent of this earlier Wired story on a massive scale.
