I picked this up after hearing Ben Thompson\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/stratechery.com\/2025\/an-interview-with-apple-in-china-author-patrick-mcgee\/\" title=\"Stratechery: An Interview with \u201cApple in China\u201d Author Patrick McGee]\">interview<\/a> with the author on Stratechery. It\u2019s a fascinating insight of how Apple\u2019s focus on helping their suppliers to get to where they needed them to be  has helped China to become a sophisticated high-tech powerhouse, which Apple is now completely dependent on.
